Scavenger Hunt September 12, 2010 |
|
General Rules: Starting place will be at Fort Collins Motorsports (Yamaha). Teams can only consist of one motorcycle or one car with a limit of 2 people per team. (Kids don’t count and can be part of the team as long as they are in/on the team vehicle.) Entry fee will be $10.00 per team or person if alone. All proceeds, after prizes, shall go to the 40+ MS fund. Award to be given out at/during/after dinner !! All riders/drivers will be given the instructions at 12:00 noon sharp. All motorcycles/cars will have their Odometer reading indicated both on their list sheet and on the official score card at the start and end of the Hunt. All list sheets will be turned in between 5:00 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. at the Perkins Restaurant on College Ave., north of Mulberry in Fort Collins. Each item missed will count as 10 miles to be added to your total miles. Each correct or collected item will count as 5 miles deducted from your total miles. You do not have to visit all locations if you have some other means of obtaining the information. Person/couple/team with lowest total miles split the pot (note change)of the entry fees. If you cheat and use some other means of transportation, we know the minimum mileage necessary to obtain all items and you will be disqualified. Please stay within the spirit of the game! Actual ridden/driven mileage should probably be between 150 and 200. Items are not in any order. It is up to the team to determine the best sequence of obtaining the items to limit the mileage driven.
There is plenty of time to obtain all items between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. If you find you have extra time, I suggest you park somewhere and enjoy the scenery over a soda. Remember, this is not a race, but a minimum mileage event. You can also come to Perkins early and stay there, however, if you are not in the restaurant, DO NOT PARK IN THEIR LOT AS YOU WILL BE TOWED ($250). They watch the Perkins parking lot very closely !!!!!
Ride safe and smart. You do not have to be a member of 40+ to participate! |
